Noolduu !!!

Biraz önce 2008′e girdik. Peki girdikde noldu? Pınar noldu hesabı… (alıntı: bir tat bir doku ).

Vaktim herzaman olduğu gibi;

  • Birgün önce yıkadığım ve bir türlü kurutmaya fırsat bulamadığım çamaşırları kanepelere, kalorifer peteklerine sermekle
  • Sabah saat 6:00(AM) sularında nasıl şirkete gideceğimi düşünmekle
  • Yarın hangi faturayı ödemem gerektiğini hatırlamaya çalışmakla
  • Gecenin bir yarısı teknik makalalere kafa patlatmakla
  • Acaba bu gece hangi network protokolünü rüyamda görürümü düşenmekle geçiyor.

Yeni yılın hayırlara vesile olması dileğiyle…

I won’t pay for apple

There are many reasons why I don’t pay for apple. One of the key point is Steve Jobs’ strategy on apple. He thinks he can produce pure apple products by hiding them from third party applications. He says;

“You don’t want your phone to be an open platform, You need it to work when you need it to work. Cingular doesn’t want to see their West Coast network go down because some application messed up.”
Steve Jobs, Interview, January 2007

So, IS it the reason why apple doesn’t launch J2ME on iPhone?. There are millions of phones running J2ME and it is still fine. May be Steve Jobs (personally) doesn’t like java !!!

“Java’s not worth building in. Nobody uses Java anymore. It’s this big heavyweight ball and chain.”
Steve Jobs, Interview, January 2007

No, I don’t think so, everybody is using java and it is growing exponentially. It is the ever made platform independent application development environment.

If Steve Jobs doesn’t change his mind apple will still stay %3 in the market

Why Second Life is Important?

I’m trying to pay more attention to Second Life but I had some difficulties at work to access Second Life and all related stuff because of I.T. manager in my company (he calls himself as I.T. manager but nothing with being I.T. manager …) bans all Second Life stuff for gaming reason. Do you wonder why Second Life is important and it is not just a game? Sun is the answer.

O’Reilly Safari Books Online

While I was searching some books from O’Reilly I noticed It was too expensive to buy a book from abroad. However I can’t find what I want in Turkiye. At the end I decided to try Safari Books Online and bought one month service. Everything is cool except limited account, I can search and read all books that I want however I can add max 10 books to my bookshelf and I can’t remove until a month passes. Also, some books took 2 slots in bookshelf, this is really sucks. One of the benefits of online books is ability to read books not published yet but available online.

In my bookshelf there are 3 books takes 4 slots. I’m going to make a review about those book as soon as I finish them.
